Malay voters have only two choices, says Muhyiddin

KULAI: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the Malay voters now have two choices – Pakatan Harapan (PH) or Barisan Nasional.
"There is no so called 'in-between' party. The 'in-between' party will be washed away by the tide," said Muhyiddin at the Amanah's 2017 Johor Convention here today.
He said, all candidates will contest under the PH logo.
He also noted that the DAP Penang government allocated more funds than its predecessors to Islamic affairs and the Selangor government has increased its cash reserves.
When asked about seat allocation issues, he said the seat allocation for parliamentary seats is almost complete, but discussion is still ongoing for state seat allocation.

Earlier, Johor Amanah chief Aminolhuda Hassan said in his speech that the four parties in PH need to have equal shares in seat allocation.
In response, Muhyiddin said, "We will consider the views from each party and the candidate's ability to win. This is to ensure success in the election."
Regarding PH's election manifesto, Muhyiddin said the draft is ready and will be submitted to the PH presidential meeting next week.
He said, there will be another manifesto for Johor to meet the requirement of the Johor people.
Meanwhile, Amanah Deputy president Salahuddin Ayub said, "We all agreed on one PH candidate to compete with BN in every constituency."
"We have learned our lesson from Sarawak ... Sarawak PH is the first state to reach the consensus on seat allocation."
Salahuddin also questioned why it took a long time for ROS to process the approval of the logo of Pakatan Harapan.
"We did not have any news since we have submitted it for two months ago."
He urged the home ministry to solve the matter as the general election is likely to be held soon.
Pakatan Harapan comprises Amanah, DAP, PKR and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.
