THE only unit of the Acer Predator 21 X in Malaysia has been sold to a 34-year-old Malaysian named Arsyan Ismail for RM39,999.
News of the purchase went viral on social media as it cost as much as a car.
Arsyan, who runs his own IT startup, bought the expensive laptop because "life is short, enjoy what you can, buy while you still can".
The gaming laptop has a 21-inch curved screen, a tobii eyetracker, a 7th Gen Intel® Core i7 processor, 64GB of DDR4 2400 memory, a 5-fan cooling system, 4 Dolby Audio™ Premium speakers with 2 subwoofers. It is Virtual Reality-ready.
The laptop is so huge that it even has its own luggage bag.
