Iflix appoints Jhingan Chief Commercial and Financial Officer

KUALA LUMPUR: Internet television services provider, iflix, has appointed Sky plc's Group Director of Merger and Acquisition and International Development in London, Anil Jhingan (pix), as Chief Commercial and Financial Officer.
In a statement today, iflix said, Jhingan, who has served as its Non-Executive Director since March 2016 and has held various executive positions at Sky plc, 21st Century Fox and News Corp, would join the company on Oct 1, 2017.
iflix Group Co-Founder/Chief Executive Officer, Mark Britt, said Jhingan's wealth of financial, corporate and industry expertise would be invaluable as the company continued to gain momentum to redefine entertainment for the next billion people.
"We have already benefited from Jhingan's experience as a board member and I am thrilled that he will now be even more closely involved in an executive capacity," he said.
Meanwhile, current iflix Chief Fnancial Officer, Georg Chmiel has shifted to a new role as Non-Executive Chairman of iCar Asia. — Bernama
