AWC's Qudotech bags RM32.6m plumbing works job

    PETALING JAYA: AWC Bhd’s wholly owned Qudotech Sdn Bhd has bagged a sub-contract worth RM32.6 million from MCC Overseas (M) Sdn Bhd for the provision of plumbing works for the 8 Conlay project developed by Damai City Sdn Bhd.
    “The 8 Conlay project is at the highest end of the spectrum in terms of quality and prestige, I am elated that the project owner and main contractor has put their faith in our abilities and expertise,” AWC’s managing director and group CEO Datuk Ahmad Kabeer said in a statement yesterday.
    Ahmad Kabeer said he believes that the group is equipped with the appropriate operational and engineering know-how to complete the project. “We are very excited to add this project to a growing list of premier high-end developments that we are involved in,” he added.
    The 8 Conlay project is for the development of lifestyle retail quarters (Fasa 1), two towers of serviced residences (Fasa 2 & 3) and one tower comprising both a hotel (Fasa 4A) and hotel residences (Fasa 4B).
    AWC said the hotel, hotel residences and serviced residences will be run and managed by Kempinski, the world renowned chain of luxury hotel operators. The contract will commence immediately and is expected to be completed on May 31, 2021.
    AWC closed 1% lower at 98.5 sen yesterday with some 1.18 million shares traded.
