Father claims trial to raping both his daughters (Updated)

JOHOR BARU: A 48-year-old man claimed trial to 12 counts of raping his two biological daughters in a Sessions Court here today.
The burger seller allegedly committed the offence in a flat in Taman Tun Aminah, Skudai, between 2013 and early this year.
He claimed trial to five counts of raping his 18-year-old eldest daughter in 2013.
The accused also claimed trial to seven counts of raping his 14-year-old daughter from 2014 to August 2017.
He was charged under Section 376B of Penal Code for committing incest.
If convicted, he is liable to face a maximum 30-year jail term and shall also be liable to whipping.
The accused, who was clad in a black T-shirt, merely shook his head when the charges were read out to him.
Sessions Court judge Kamarudin Kamsun did not grant him bail and fixed Oct 15 for the mention.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Siti Asmah Zainal Ariffin prosecuted while the accused was not represented.
