PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Human Resources will cooperate with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in its investigation into alleged misappropriation of funds meant for the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK).
Its Minister Datuk Seri Richard Riot said this in a statement here today.
He was referring to media reports that MACC had detained four individuals suspected of misappropriating almost RM40 million which should have been channelled to PTPK for training programmes.
A chief executive with the title "Datuk" aged 58 was detained with a corporation secretary aged 34, a finance assistant officer aged 32 and a company director aged 38, in a special MACC operation in the federal capital on Wednesday afternoon.
Riot said the ministry left it to MACC to thoroughly investigate the case which involved one of its agencies. — Bernama
