SCHOOLBOY Wang Pok Lo, 13, has earned a first class honours degree in Mathematics after studying in his spare time.
He used his free time to achieve the feat via an Open University course. He is already studying for his Master's degree.
The teenager is studying at Queensferry High School in South Queensferry near Edinburgh. He moved to Scotland from Hong Kong with his family in 2006.
Wang passed his Advanced Higher maths at 11.
“I enjoy doing maths but it is getting very challenging,” he is quoted by the Daily Record of Scotland as saying. “It has started to get a lot more difficult as it has become more about concepts which are a lot more abstract and it’s mostly logic and reasoning.”
He plans to enrol with Sheffield University for a part-time MSc in statistics with medical applications.
