KUALA LUMPUR: All 23 remains who were caught in the blaze at a tahfiz school in Keramat have left the Forensic Department at 5.54pm.
A prayer for them will be held at Madrasah Islamiah Kuala Lumpur.
The first three left the compound at 4.30pm.
They were escorted by the police.
Earlier, some family members and next-of-kins of the deceased were seen outside waiting to claim the remains.
Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali managed to meet them before departing in a black Mercedez with a number plate number WKT 92.
Despite the long wait, many remained patient and calm despite the heat.
The City Fire and Rescue Department said they received information on the blaze at around 5.52am yesterday.
The department deployed 36 firefighters from the Keramat, Jalan Tun Razak, Wangsa Maju and Hang Tuah stations.
The firefighters, who arrived at the scene seven minutes later, brought the blaze under control and stopped it from spreading.
