All flood relief centres closed in Kedah except one in Pendang

ALOR STAR: Only one flood relief centre remained open in Kedah tonight.
According to the Kedah Disaster Management Department (JBPN) Secretariat, the relief centre at Dewan Cenderawasih, in Pendang, which housed 17 flood victims from five families, was still in operation.
Meanwhile, the flood relief centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kechil Ulu, in Bandar Baru, which housed 12 victims from three families was closed at noon today when the victims were allowed to return home.
Continuous rain since early this month resulted in several districts in the state experiencing flash floods, especially in Kuala Muda, Baling, Pendang and Bandar Baru. — Bernama
