Water supply disruption in Pekan on Wednesday

KUANTAN: Several areas in Pekan will be experiencing water supply disruption for 11 hours this Wednesday, following works to clean the treatment structures of Chini Water Treatment Plant in Pekan.
Pengurusan Air Pahang Berhad (PAIP) in a statement, said the works starting at 9am would involve 6,561 accounts.
"The areas involved are the entire Felda Chini and Chini Timur, Bandar 02, Kampung Gumum , Kampung Batu Bali, Air Hitam, Paloh Hinai, Pulau Rumput, Kampung Bangkong, Kampung Tebas Buang, Kampung Arong and Kampung Wah-Wah.

"Also affected are the National Youth Skills Institute (IKBN), the Tasek Chini National Service Training Camp and the Tasek Chini tourism centre,” the statement said.
In this regard, consumers are advised to store sufficient water and they could contact the Customer Service Centre (PULAPEL) at 09-5739999 for enquiries. — Bernama
