KESM Industries shares surge after Q4 net profit jumps 66.6%

PETALING JAYA: KESM Industries Bhd's share price surged 6.24% this morning, after its net profit jumped 66.6% to RM13.4 million for the fourth quarter ended July 31, 2017, from RM8.05 million previously.
At 11.01am, its share price stood at RM16 with 129,500 shares changing hands. Its market capitalisation stood at RM647.8 million.
KESM said the higher bottom line was mainly due to higher sales and the absence of income tax expense.
