TODAY is a day of celebration for Samsung fans as it marks the official launch of the much-awaited Galaxy Note8 in Malaysia.
Grab the opportunity to experience the Note8 first-hand from today till Sunday at the Galaxy Note8 roadshows in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Gurney Plaza in Penang, and Aeon Tebrau City in Johor Baru.
For those who had not pre-ordered the phone earlier, now is the chance to get their hands on Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone and receive some awesome gifts as well.
The roadshow at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is expected to start at 11am today, followed by the official sale of the Galaxy Note8 at noon.
The roadshows in Penang and Johor Baru are expected to begin at 10am.
The first 1,000 buyers at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, and the first 500 buyers each at Gurney Plaza and Aeon Tebrau City, of the Galaxy Note8 during the four-day roadshows will receive a free Samsung Gear VR (top) worth RM499, and free Samsung Screen Protection worth RM149, which allows for a one-time cracked screen replacement (excluding service fee).
In addition, the first 100 customers to purchase the brandnew Galaxy Note8 at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur roadshow today will get to meet Running Man star Song Ji-Hyo (below) in person on stage and receive a free Clear View Standing Cover autographed by the star herself.
Song is a South Korean actress who made her debut in 2003 in the horror movie Wishing Stairs.
For those who cannot make it to the roadshows, don’t despair. They can visit the nearest Samsung Experience Store to enjoy some exclusive promotions.
For every purchase of the Galaxy Note8 via Maybank 0% Ezy Pay Plan for a period of 12 and 24 months, they can enjoy not only 3x Maybank Treats Points but also receive a free Dual Port Car Charger worth RM89.
Additionally, New Galaxy Note8 owners can purchase either the Samsung Protection for RM88, or the Samsung Protection Plus for RM238.
Both come with a one-time cracked screen replacement, with the latter adding a one-year warranty extension on top of the standard warranty.
The Galaxy Note series championed large displays on a smartphone, and it is no surprise that the Note8 has the biggest screen on any Note device, at 6.3in across.
The panel used is a Quad HD+ Super Amoled Infinity Display with an 18.5:9 ratio, which is wider than the standard 16:9 display used by almost every other phone.
The Galaxy Note8 is also the first Samsung smartphone with two 12MP rear cameras with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) on both its wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
It features a Live Focus mode that lets you control the depth of field by allowing you to adjust the bokeh effect in preview mode and after you take the photo.
In Dual Capture mode, the Note8 can take two pictures simultaneously, using both of its rear cameras, and allow you to save one close-up shot from the telephoto lens, and one wide-angle shot at the same time.
Inside the Note8 is an octa-core 64-bit 10nm processor paired with 64GB of expandable storage and 6GB of memory, and a 3,300mAh battery.
The Galaxy Note8 is available in midnight black, orchid grey, and maple gold for RM3,999.
