Fire destroys two houses, makes four families homeless

GUA MUSANG: Fire destroyed two houses in Kampung Baru here early today, leaving12 people from four families homeless.
The fire occurred when the occupants were cleaning up the premises, and no one was injured, said Gua Musang Fire and Rescue Station chief Anuar Abas.
He said three families were living in one of the houses and the fourth in the other house.
The cause of the fire and the damage had yet to be ascertained, he said.
One of the victims, Mohd Azri Che Seman, 41, said he was cleaning the house when a neighbour shouted that the house was on fire.
"I rushed out of the house and moved the car and motorcycles to a safe place. I was stopped from going back into the house to save other belongings because the fire had engulfed the home by then," he said. — Bernama
