Boulder causes traffic jam on Jalan Paya Terubong

GEORGE TOWN: Road users on Jalan Paya Terubong heading towards Balik Pulau were caught in a traffic snarl due to a boulder that fell onto the road.
According to Penang Island City Council (MBPP) Urban Services director, Mubarak Junus, the incident happened at about 1pm today (Sept 23) and took the state Public Works Department personnel three hours to move the boulder to a safer location.
He said the police had controlled the traffic until the boulder was removed.
"There were no damages or injuries arising from the incident," he told reporters.
