SHAH ALAM: The Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah today flagged off 1,200 participants of the Agro Run 2017 programme, held in conjunction with the 2017 National-level Farmers, Livestock Breeders and Fishermen's Day (HPPNK2017) at the Shah Alam National Botanical Park.

The ministry's secretary-general, Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Bakar told Bernama the run was organised to promote HPPNK2017 which would be held from Sept 28 to Oct 1, at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang in Serdang.
He said the HPPNK2017 would showcase technology and innovation used in the country's food industry and act as a platform to show appreciation to those involved in the industry.
He said the four-day programme themed 'Our Food Our Future' would also feature various interesting activities and agriculture-based stalls such as the 'Malaysian Food Festival', 'Food for Health' as well as the 'Agro Job Fair' and 'Agroyouth Camp'. — Bernama
