Kia promises exciting times ahead

    NAZA Kia Malaysia, the official distributor of Kia vehicles in Malaysia, recently unveiled its business plans for the rest of 2017 and 2018.
    “Naza was awarded the importership of Kia vehicles in 1996, and has to date put more than 230,000 units on Malaysian roads. Our founder, the late Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin saw potential in Kia and invested in a factory and network which made Malaysia among the leading markets for Kia in Asean,” said group chief executive officer, automotive group of Naza Corporation Holdings Group, Datuk Samson Anand George.
    He was speaking to journalists during a media drive to Johor Baru involving the latest Kia models – Rio, Optima, Sportage and Sorento.
    “The group has invested in excess of RM1 billion which includes investment in a manufacturing plant in Gurun, Kedah and the extensive sales and service network. To date, there are 54 Kia outlets consisting of 165 service bays in operation and located in major markets in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. Of these 54 outlets, five are Kia 'Red Cube' outlets located in Petaling Jaya, Johor Baru, Kuantan, Rawang and Tampoi in Johor.
    “Investment into the Red Cube concept alone was in the region of RM75 million and Malaysia was among the first markets in Asean to incorporate this, with five Red Cubes in major market centres across the country.
    “In 2016, investment into network expansion was in the region of RM25 million. In 2017 and 2018, Naza Kia is aggressively aiming to enhance its network presence to East Malaysia, where at least eight new outlets will be started.
    “Among the aggressive sales initiatives undertaken were Kia Value 5 programme, which was introduced with tremendous success to increase Kia brand confidence among customers, to benchmark against Japanese makes for resale value. This programme provides 5th Year Guaranteed Future Value so as to increase customer retention and loyalty, towards the brand.
    “In 2016, Naza Kia also introduced the Kia Cares programme which provides coverage for the difference between the Comprehensive Motor Policy and original invoice price in the event of total loss or theft.
    “The Kia Go-Xtra campaign was conceived to reward loyal customers for their support towards the Kia brand over the years. Customers who participate in this campaign enjoy a 30% discount on selected service items and also stand to win the Grand Prize of a fully paid trip to Korea.”
