MySeafood exhibition to showcase fishery products

PUTRAJAYA: All sorts of local fishery products will be showcased at the "MySeafood" exhibition which will be held in conjunction with the four-day 2017 National Farmers, Livestock Breeders and Fishermen's Day from Sept 28 until Oct 1 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).
The exhibition, jointly organised by the Fisheries Development Board Malaysia (LKIM), the Malaysian Fisheries Department and the National Fishermen's Association will introduce the public to unique fisheries foods and products in the country.
"It will open the minds of consumers to the fact that fisheries products are diverse and should be explored, " said LKIM director-general M. Saedon Ab Majid said in a statement here today.
"Hopefully, after this, there will be more entrepreneurs in the fisheries industry and more new products created," he said.
Saedon said many interesting activities will be held during the exhibition, such as colouring and naming-the-fish competitions as well as demonstrations and promotions of fish sauces. — Bernama
