Cyberjaya Hospital to be completed by Nov 2020

CYBERJAYA: The first public hospital in Cyber 11 here, which is expected to be completed by November 2020 will serve the population throughout the Putrajaya, Dengkil, Serdang, and Puchong areas, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam.
"When the Cyberjaya Hospital is completed, the people will have at least three public hospitals within the vicinity namely Putrajaya Hospital, Serdang Hospital, and the Kajang Hospital to seek treatment and avoid patient congestion," he said during his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony at the site, here, today.
The hospital which will be built with attention to environmental sustainability and energy-efficient features, will be the first hospital in the country to achieve Platinum Rating under the Green Building Index (GBI) certification standards.
"Apart from the Cyberjaya Hospital, there are approximately 10 other hospitals being built in a similar manner which includes optimal solar orientation and solar energy harvesting technology," he said.
Meanwhile, Cyberjaya developer, Cyberview Sdn Bhd chairman Tan Sri Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak and Dr Subramaniam for approving the RM475 million facility which is expected to sustain the growing population, here.
The Cyberjaya Hospital which spans across a 12.8-acre site consists of a nine-storey complex containing a 288-bed facility.
The hospital will also allocate an area for future expansion to accommodate an additional 150 beds.
It will be complemented with an eight-storey multi-level car park with 965 parking bays.
