KOTA BARU: The Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) today settled the wages of Kelantan football players and coaches for July and August.
Its president, Bibi Ramjani Ilias Khan said the payment of wages was part of her commitment in solving the problems faced by the Kelantan players and coaching staff.
"This payment means that Kafa has settled all the wages owed to the players and coaches this season," she told reporters after a cheque presentation ceremony for Kelantan players, here today.
Bibi Ramjani said although the total amount of payment was not disclosed, it proved that she has fulfilled her promise before her election as the new president of Kafa.
"It is a large amount and please do not ask about the source. I want the players to get a positive result in the last two matches," she added.
The Red Warriors must win the last two Super League matches to avoid relegation to the Premier League next season.
Kelantan will meet PKNS at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium on Sept 27 and Malacca United at Hang Jebat Stadium, Malacca on Oct 21. — Bernama
