BUTTERWORTH: Two men who were detained on suspicion of trafficking 56.55g of heroin tried to bribe their way out by offering the police RM150 in front of a motel in Jalan Kelasah, Seberang Jaya here, early today.
Seberang Perai Tengah district police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said the suspects, aged 29 and 32, were picked up at 12.30am after two policemen who were patrolling the area stopped a suspicious-looking Perodua Myvi in which the two men were travelling in.
“The drugs (worth RM1,372) was found under the driver's seat along with a weighing scale and a pair of scissors. It was then that the suspects tried to bribe the policemen with RM150,” he said here today.
Nik Ros Azhan also said that both men tested positive for drugs.
