Labuan FSA gets new DG, Ahmad Hizzad heads back to BNM

PETALING JAYA: Labuan Financial Services Authority's (Labuan FSA) deputy director-general Danial Mah Abdullah will be promoted to the role of director-general from Oct 3, 2017, with the departure of Datuk Ahmad Hizzad Baharuddin, who has completed his secondment to the authority.
Ahmad Hizzad, who was on a six year secondment, will return to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) on Oct 3, 2017 as Assistant Governor. He will be responsible for the Investment Operations and Financial Markets, Foreign Exchange Administration, Legal and Currency Management and Operations departments. Ahmad Hizzad will also co-chair the Financial Markets Committee with Assistant Governor Norzila Abdul Aziz.
Prior to his secondment to Labuan FSA, Ahmad Hizzad served as the Director of several departments in BNM including Payment Systems Policy, Financial Sector Development and Islamic Banking and Takaful.
Danial's appointment was approved by Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak.
