KOTA KINABALU: Premises rental guidelines as tourist accommodation, especially in urban areas, are still being studied by the State Attorney-General, said Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
He said the matter was discussed in the state Cabinet, which agreed that a guideline would be established for the purpose.
"We already have other guidelines but it is not yet comprehensive enough to manage it (rental on individually owned premises to tourists)," he reporters after launching the Town and Regional Planning Department Integrity Plan 2016-2020 here today.
On rental of premises that are still operating, Hajiji said it was bound by the existing local authority's guidelines. — Bernama
