AADK officer stabbed in armpit by drug user

HULU SELANGOR: A National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) officer sustained injuries after being stabbed with a folding knife by a drug user during a raid.
Hulu Selangor district police chief Supt Lim Bak Pha said the 32-year-old AADK Hulu Selangor officer was stabbed on Monday.
"In the 11.30pm incident, an AADK team was raiding a house in Batang Kali, Hulu Selangor. Two men were arrested but one escaped.
"The suspect was nabbed after a brief chase. However, a struggle occurred between the victim and the suspect and the suspect stabbed the victim at the left side of his armpit with a folding knife," he said in a statement today.
Lim said the victim was sent to the Selayang Hospital, and is reported to be in stable condition.
The district's AADK chief lodged a police report subsequently after the incident.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon.
