Cops await fire report on gutted church hut

IPOH: Police are awaiting a report from the Fire and Rescue Department to determine the cause of a fire which razed a temporary hut in the compound of the Church of St Michael on Friday.
Ipoh police chief ACP Sum Chang Keong said a police report was lodged on the same day.
"We have also recorded statements from several witnesses including the parish priest. The Pekan Baru police station received a call on the blaze and two personnel rushed to the scene.
"Only embers were left of the burnt temporary structure made of wood and palm tree leaves."
