HPPNK 2017 records sales exceeding target

SERDANG: The Farmers, Breeders and Fishermen's Day 2017 (HPPNK 2017) was a huge success with a sales turnover of 900 percent from the target of RM30 million.
Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, when closing HPPNK 2017, said the amount of sales made during the four-day event was RM271 million.
"Since HPPNK began last Thursday until 5 pm today, the value of trade sale recorded was RM41 million, while the ban transaction during the period was RM 230 million.
"This means , the total overall sales is RM271 million," he added.'
He also said HPPNK 2017 received 500,000 visitors, which exceeded its target of 400,000 people, and the number was expected to increase as the event would only close at 10pm today.

On the Agro Job Fair held at the event, Ahmad Shabery said it offered 1500 jobs.
Since HPPNK is a biennial event , it will not be held next year, but there will be the Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro-tourism (MAHA) Exhibition, to be held during the school holidays in November next year. — Bernama
