Ambitious, formidable and sporty Audi trio introduced

AUDI Malaysia today introduced three "sophisticated and technology-laden" new variants of the Audi A4, offering not just the acclaimed Audi virtual cockpit but also a carefully curated selection of high tech features not available on any other junior executive saloon including advanced phone connectivity options, futuristic Matrix LED intelligent lighting technology and the high-fidelity B&O 3D Sound System*.
Audi Malaysia head of corporate communications, Isaac Lee Mathew, shares, “In the spirit of Vorsprung durch Technik (advancement through technology), we at Audi Malaysia are introducing Tech pack variants for the entry-level Audi A4 1.4 TFSI, the top-of the range A4 2.0 TFSI quattro, as well as the A4 2.0 TFSI S line, making a total of four A4 variants available with the Tech pack**. These latest A4 variants represent a distillation of Audi’s class-leading technology in order to provide more compelling options for potential customers, who can select the variant that best suits their individual style and preferences.”
Class-leading junior executive saloons, now packed to the brim with technology
“Amongst the three new variants, the A4 1.4 TFSI Tech pack sees the well-appointed entry-level vehicle receive substantial upgrades including the Audi virtual cockpit, MMI Navigation plus, Audi smartphone interface and reversing camera. Equipped with an advanced 1.4 litre TFSI engine and seven-speed S tronic transmission that develops 150hp and 250Nm of torque between 1,500 and 3,500rpm, this variant is certainly no slouch in terms of performance.
“With a 2.0-litre TFSI engine developing 190hp of power and a maximum 320Nm of torque enabling a century sprint of just 7.3 seconds, the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI S line + Tech pack not only possesses great performance, but also looks the part with the S line interior and exterior package which adds more aggressively styled front and rear bumpers, 18-inch alloy wheels, S line sport leather steering wheel and numerous other sporty accoutrements. The Tech pack sees a further accentuation of the A4’s progressive nature with the inclusion of the Audi virtual cockpit, Matrix LED, MMI Navigation plus and Audi smartphone interface amongst others.

“As the new top-of-the-range variant, the A4 2.0 TFSI quattro Tech pack sees an already generously-equipped vehicle with a high-output 2.0 TFSI engine developing 252hp (maximum torque at 370Nm) in order to post a blistering 0-100 km/h time of just 5.8 seconds, quattro permanent all-wheel drive and S line body kit (interior and exterior) as standard now receive superlative enhancements in the form of the Audi virtual cockpit, Matrix LED lights as well as the advanced B&O 3D Sound System.”
Light years ahead: A technological tour de force for the discerning driver
“All Audi A4 Tech pack variants come with various high tech features that showcase Audi’s progressive mindset. Available on all Tech pack variants, the Audi virtual cockpit is a full-colour, high-resolution, fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster that is focused entirely around the driver, and can be customised to provide access to information and functions in tandem with the Audi MMI (Multi Media Interface) with Navigation plus. Already available in the Audi TT coupé as well as the Audi Q7 SUV, this intuitive system now sees the addition of Audi smartphone interface and Audi connect to allow owners to have access to their smartphone applications including Spotify through the Audi MMI interface.
“Of particular note on the Tech pack variants for the cars with 2-litre TFSI engines is the inclusion of the Matrix LED intelligent lighting system, which is otherwise currently only available on the Audi A8 L executive saloon in Malaysia. More than just a sophisticated light cluster, Audi’s Matrix LED systems work by combining a camera system with multiple LED light sources and precise optics for better light distribution and management, switching to the various lighting modes including the high beams when necessary and regulating the light distribution patterns to avoid blinding other road users as well.
"Last but certainly not least, the B&O 3D Sound System available on the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI quattro Tech pack represents the epitome of high fidelity sound. Developed in partnership with the acclaimed Danish audio experts, Bang & Olufsen, this system sees a 16-channel amplifier that outputs 755 watts to a total of 19 individual speakers, providing an unsurpassed level of audio dimension, texture and clarity to all occupants of the vehicle.”
The Audi A4 range: Now complete!
“The new Audi A4 1.4 TFSI Tech pack will retail at an additional RM25,000 from the standard retail price of RM218,900 for the A4 1.4 TFSI, which puts it at RM243,900. Next up, the A4 2.0 TFSI S line + Tech pack will cost RM25,000 more than either the A4 2.0 TFSI S line or the A4 2.0 Tech pack, which is RM298,900. Finally, the A4 2.0 TFSI quattro Tech pack comes in at RM334,900, which is a RM20,000 premium over the retail price of the A4 2.0 TFSI quattro.
