FGV announces return of CFO, silent on CEO

PETALING JAYA: Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd’s (FGV) group CFO Ahmad Tifli Mohd Talha will resume his duty tomorrow, after being suspended for almost four months.
The announcement comes almost two weeks after a decision on the domestic inquiry proceedings was expected. There was no mention of the group president/CEO Datuk Zakaria Arshad in the group’s filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

When contacted, Zakaria told SunBiz that he is yet to be notified of the outcome of the domestic inquiry, however he is aware of the return of the other three to the group.
Delima Oil Products senior general manager Kamarzaman Abd Karim, and FGV Trading CEO Ahmad Salman Omar are believed to have returned to work last week.
To recap, Zakaria, Ahmad Tifli, Kamarzaman and Ahmad Salman were issued with letters for leave of absence in early June following an internal audit investigation whereby alleged discrepancies were found in the dealings between Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd and Safitex Trading LLC. A domestic inquiry on the issue commenced on July 18.
Since then, former Malakoff Corp Bhd group managing director Datuk Wira Azhar Abdul Hamid has been appointed as chairman of FGV, and Datuk Khairil Anuar Aziz designated as officer-in-charge.
FGV’s share price rose 0.6% or 1 sen to close at RM1.68 today with a total of 3.02 million shares traded, giving it a market capitalisation of RM6.13 billion.
