12 escape unhurt after wardrobe in tahfiz school catches fire

SHAH ALAM: Twelve people escaped unhurt after a wardrobe caught fire in the room of a tahfiz school in Seksyen 32, Shah Alam near here.
A Selangor Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said they were alerted about the incident at the Tahfiz Al-Quran Bidayatul Hidayah at about 12.35am on Wednesday.
He said there were 11 male students as well as a warden in the room where the fire took place.
"Rescuers arrived at the scene just after the students and the warden managed to put out the fire from the wardrobe," he said.
The spokesman added that the student were relocated to surau nearby as the room was closed for cleaning process.
No casualties were reported, while the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
