KUALA LUMPUR: Three friends including two Taiwan nationals were ordered to defend themselves against a charge of distributing 8,172.3g of Nimetazepam (Erimin 5) drugs two years ago, by the High Court here today.
Justice Datuk Azman Abdullah ordered Wang Fu Tai, 21, Chen Chi Wen, 19, both Taiwan nationals, and Cheah Chee Seng, 57, a Malaysian, to enter their defence after finding that the prosecution had proven a prima facie case against the three.

The three men were charged under Section 39B (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, punishable under Section 39B (2) of the same act, which provides for the mandatory death sentence.
Wang was represented by lawyer Richard Ho, Chen by counsel Kee Wei Lon, while counsel K.C Hue acted on behalf of Cheah.
The prosecution was handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor Aznika Mohd Anas. The court set Oct 24 for the defence trial. — Bernama
