Maznah Hamid succumbs to heart ailment

KUALA LUMPUR: Well known entrepreneur Datuk Dr Maznah Hamid or The Iron Lady to many people, passed away at the National Heart Institute (IJN), here, at 6pm today. She was 62.
A family member said Maznah succumbed to complications following heart surgery on Sept 28 to clear two blocked valves.
She was also a member of the Wanita Umno Executive Council (Exco).
Maznah's husband, Datuk Seri Shaheen Mirza Habib and family members were by her side when she breathed her last.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak was present at IJN to pay his last respect.
Maznah was dubbed the Iron Lady due to her security business. She was the executive chairman of Kumpulan Securiforce Sdn Bhd. — Bernama
