Bank in Kota Kemuning loses RM60k to robbery

SHAH ALAM: A bank in Kota Kemuning in Section 32 here loses almost RM60,000 in a robbery yesterday.
Shah Alam District police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said a lone suspect wielding a pistol entered the bank and shot at the ceiling once with the firearm in the incident at 3.04pm.
"The man, in his 30s, then ordered several employees at the bank counter to fill a bag, he brought along with him, with money, before escaping.
"There was no customer at the bank during the incident. The bank staff were also not hurt," he said in a statement here today.
He said police were hunting the suspect and the case was investigated under Section 392 and 397 of the Penal Code. — Bernama
