JOHOR BARU: A family of four was found dead in a double storey house in Mutiara Rini, near Skudai, this afternoon around 2.30pm.
Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Noor Hashim Mohamad said the body of R. Pubalan, 52, a liquor trader was found hanging from the ceiling in a bedroom on the second floor.
The body of his wife P. Jeya, 46, who was known to be suffering from kidney related ailments was found on a bed in the living room of the ground floor.
The bodies of their children, P. Sharveen, 14, and Krishaa Priteena, 9, were found in another bedroom with strangulation marks on their necks.
The tragedy was discovered by a friend who visited the couple on Friday afternoon.
A note believed to be written by Pubalan was also found at the scene.
Asst Comm Noor Hashim said the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
