SEREMBAN: Two men aged 45 and 30, who were remanded for two days from yesterday, to assist in the investigation into fraud allegations surrounding an affordable housing scheme in Nilai, were released on police bail after expiry of their remand.
Nilai district deputy police chief DSP Azrul Hisham Mohd Shaffie said the investigation papers would be handed over to the deputy public prosecutor; however, he did not specify the date of submission.
"Their remand order expired and both have been released on police bail," he said when contacted by Bernama here today.
The men, both employees of Syarikat Juta Kelulut Global Resources (SJKGR), were arrested in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday on suspicion of cheating a 30-year-old victim in Nilai in May involving RM60,000. — Bernama
