MIC aims to regain Teluk Kemang, Port Dickson seats

PORT DICKSON: Teluk Kemang MIC aims to win the Teluk Kemang Parliamentary seat and Port Dickson state seat in the coming 14th General Elections (GE14).
Its division chief Datuk R. Balakrishnan said the two seats could be regained based on the response of the people received during a series of programmes carried by the division at present.
"We are confident of winning these Parliamentary and state constituencies ... We have been working everyday with five to six programmes in a week and will continue to work hard to win," he told reporters after the Teluk Kemang MIC Deepavali celebration event here today.
In the last GE13, Datuk V.S. Mogan who represented MIC was defeated by Datuk Kamarul Baharin Abbas of PKR with a majoritiy of 1,579 votes in the Teluk Kemang Parliamentary seat.
Similarly in the Port Dickson state seat, MIC incumbent Dr P. Thanaletchumy was defeated in a three-cornered fight.
At the event, a total of 350 underprivileged beneficiaries received Deepavali donations in the form of hamper and cash. — Bernama
