CAMERON HIGHLANDS: MyPPP is ready to discuss with the MIC over 'seat swapping' in the coming general election (GE14), said party president Tan Sri M. Kayveas (pix).
He said as a party which gives importance to unity and cooperation in Barisan Nasional (BN), the party was willing to discuss the matter with MIC president Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam.
"The BN power sharing formula has to be implemented to ensure a win-win situation. This is to ensure that BN wins by a big majority in GE14," he told Bernama after launching the netball tournament for Tan Sri M Kayveas Cup in Tanah Rata today.
Subramaniam was prepared to discuss 'seat swapping' with BN component parties but was adamant that MIC contest for nine parliamentary and 19 state seats just like in GE13.
Kayveas is eyeing to contest the Cameron Highlands parliamentary seat held by former MIC president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel who won the seat in the general election in 2013. — Bernama
