Alleged rape of diver: Coach to be charged tomorrow

KUALA LUMPUR: The national diving coach arrested for the alleged rape of a diver from the national back up squad at the Bukit Jalil Sports Complex on Sept 26 will be charged in court tomorrow.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief SAC Rusdi Mohd Isa, when contacted, confirmed the matter but refused to provide any further details.
Last Saturday, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said police had recorded the statements of 18 individuals and obtained the closed circuit television (CCTV) footage at the sports complex to facilitate further investigations into the rape case.
The 35-year-old coach from China was arrested on Oct 2 following a report lodged by the victim.
The case was investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code. — Bernama
