THERE are product launches and official opening shindigs and then there are parties like the recent one hosted by Carlsberg Malaysia, introducing its Carlsberg Smooth Draught that comes in a single-serve pint bottle.
SLEEK SINGLE PINT
The product innovation, deemed “Probably The Smoothest Draught Beer Revolution”, saw a hearty party gather at Sunway Pinnacale’s Eight Gourmets Gala (EGG) restaurant. Guests arrived in white and silver to join the celebration and welcome the 325ml pint bottle into the existing portfolio of Carlsberg’s Smooth Draught in 580ml quart bottle, 320ml can and 500ml can.
Following that, the Carlsberg Smooth Draught family is now complete, and ensuing the upbeat launch gambit and Carlsberg Malaysia managing director Lars Lehmann’s speech, the celebration peaked. The atmosphere was lively as the smooth brew in its sleek glass vessel was seen enjoyed by a jubilant crowd. A great night with much to indulge in – canapes and finger food; friends, colleagues and acquaintances – and free flow of the smooth draught.

“Since its inaugural launch in Malaysia in April last year, the beautiful golden-hued brew has successfully captured the hearts of many beer consumers, who prefer smoother beer. And it has met the expectations of many discerning draught beer drinkers too. Its recipe of success lies not only in its quality natural ingredients, but also in its two unique brewing techniques. It goes through a longer maturation cycle to achieve its signature smoothness and enhances the brew’s distinctive aromatic flavour,” Lehmann elaborated.
In all, it looked like “the party of parties” with “probably the smoothest beer in the world” taking the festivity up a notch. Then we learned there was even more reason to rejoice.

This October, the Carlsberg Smooth Draught roving team will visit 800 selected outlets across the nation, bringing with it attractive offers and chances to win gifts. Additionally, during the month of November, the celebration will continue, providing consumers chances to win more free gifts with purchases. Golfers can also get a sleeve of Taylor Made golf balls with the purchase of two buckets of Carlsberg Smooth Draught in 325ml pint bottles across all participating golf clubs.
