Two members of 'Geng Anuar' on the run after robbing senior citizen

IPOH: Police are tracking down two members of the notorious "Geng Anuar" after a senior citizen was robbed of RM63,000 worth of valuables.
City police chief ACP Sum Chang Keong said police are hunting for Qhyirull Anwar Ayub, 29, and Mohamad Fauzi Adris, 23, believed to be among four men involved in the robbery on Sept 27.
In the incident, the victim in his 60s who collects objects and watches of high value was contacted by one of the suspects who expressed an intention to sell an Omega branded watch.
"An appointment was made for a deal at a karaoke in Station 18 at 9.15pm.
"The suspect and three others approached him and asked him to get into their car to see the watch.
"Once inside the car, the driver locked the doors and the men assaulted him," he told reporters after attending the Ipoh City Police headquarters monthly gathering here today.
The men then relieved him of 11 valuables including three Omega watches, a gold elephant doll, three gold rings, a gold chain, two mobile phones and RM100.
According to Sum, the victim was tied and abandoned at Jalan Sungai Siput, some distance away from the scene of the incident.
Following a report made by the victim, police picked up two men aged 41 and 44 in the city on Sept 30.
The second suspect had four previous records for house break-ins and minor offences.
