Man fined RM1,000 for unlawful possession of M-Bike engines

PETALING JAYA: A man was fined RM1,000 or one-month jail in default by the Magistrate's Court here today for failing to explain how he came into possession of two motorcycle engines, last Jan.
Muhammad Izwan Zainuddin, 24, was handed the sentence by Magistrate Nurulhuda Zakariya after he changed his plea to guilty when the case came up for hearing.
He was charged under Section 29(1) of the Minor Offences Act 1955 which provides for jail up to a year or maximum fine of RM1,000 or both.
Deputy public prosecutor Abu Arsalnaa Zainal Abidin appeared for the prosecution.
