Three foreign workers injured after explosion in Bandar Malaysia (Updated)

KUALA LUMPUR: Three workers were injured following an explosion at a construction site in Bandar Malaysia South MRT site this evening.
Those injured were believed to be Nepali and Bangladeshi construction workers.
This was confirmed by a spokesman for the City Fire and Rescue Department.
According to a source, two of the workers lost their legs in the accident while the other suffered injuries to his arms and legs.
The full extent of their injuries is unknown as at press time and it is learnt that the three victims have been sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment.
In a statement today, MMC-Gamuda KVMRT (T) Sdn Bhd (MGKT), the Underground Work Package Contractor, said the workers are in stable condition.
Bandar Malaysia South is one of the 11 underground stations under the Sungai Buloh-Serdang- Putrajaya Line (SSP).
At press time, theSun is in the midst of contacting Brickfields district police for comments.
