KUALA LUMPUR: Police have initiated an investigation against the leader of a Muslim organisation for allegedly rebuking a "Sultan" for his statement on the Muslim-friendly laundrette.
Inspector-General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said, the department received a police report yesterday against Sunni Organisation Malaysia (Aswaja) president, Zamihan Mat Zin (pix).
"We are investigating the case under Section 4 of the Sedition Act ... There could be more police reports today," he told reporters after attending an Integrity Talk at police training centre (Pulapol) here today.
When asked when will the religious leader to be hauled up by the police, Mohamad Fuzi refused to elaborate and insisted that the investigations are ongoing.
A video which has since gone viral had shown Zamihan rebuking a "Sultan" for his statement on the Muslim-friendly laundrette yesterday.
The video, which had been republished by several media organisations, had also shown Zamihan taking a hit at the Chinese community, deeming them dirty as they do not wash up after urinating or defecating.

In an immediate response, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed said the ministry would probe the matter and take immediate action over the speech.
