Ever wondered what 'photobomb' is in Bahasa Malaysia?

PETALING JAYA: Malaysians have long been synonymous with photobombing a picture, and it, in fact, comes natural to some of us, if not most.
Be it in class photos for your school's annual year book, a selfie with a group of friends, or even popping your head up and spoiling some random stranger's effort at getting a once-in-a-lifetime picture in front of a tourist attraction.
But have you ever wondered what photobomb translates to in Bahasa Malaysia?
Wonder no more.
Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) has just recently released a number of new words translated from English, and we cannot help but be mind blown at the translation for photobomb.
It's "tunafoto", and yes, you read that right.
Apparently, tuna means "imperfection, broke" in Malay according to DBP, (not the fish we have been eating), and so it makes perfect sense.
Apart from photobomb, DBP also released the Malay translations for nap, pick-up line and killfie (taking a selfie at a dangerous location, putting one's life at risk).
Nap translates to "meridap", pick-up line is "kata pikat" and killfie is "swafoto maut".
At least, now we know.
