Five-year-old child in critical condition after falling from fifth floor of flat

GEORGE TOWN: A five-year-old child is in critical condition after falling from the fifth floor of a flat at Relau Indah, Halaman Paya Terubong 2, Bayan Lepas here today.
Northeast district deputy police chief Supt Izwan Abd Karim, said the incident happened at 1.30pm.
Izwan said the victim, N. Keshvin, is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of the Penang General Hospital.
“The victims mother said that she left Keshvin who was sleeping in the room, alone, to fetch her six-year-old child from a kindergarten in Sungai Ara."
“She added that the victim was a hyperactive child,” he told reporters.
Izwan said based on a photo, the victim believed to have tried to take his bicycle which was stuck in the balcony.
It is believed, in his efforts to retrieve his bicycle, he pried open the grille window and fell from the balcony.
