SMRT shares tumble as trading resumes after suspension

PETALING JAYA: Shares in SMRT Holdings Bhd tumbled 6.82% this morning, as the stock resumed trading today.
At 10.58am, the stock stood at 20.5 sen with 2.78 million shares changing hands. Its market capitalisation stood at RM72.18 million
The group clarified that it is in the dark over any reasons that could have contributed to the sudden surge in its share price yesterday.
SMRT saw its share price jump 39.5% to hit 26.5 sen and settle at 22 sen just before trading in the stock was suspended. SMRT closed at 19 sen on the previous day.
