Wanita Umno holds tahlil, Yassin reading for deceased members

KUALA LUMPUR: The Wanita Umno today held a tahlil and reading of the Yassin for members of the movement who died recently, including its executive council member and Jerlun branch leader Datuk Maznah Hamid, who died last Oct 4.
Maznah, also known as "Iron lady", was executive chairman of Kumpulan Securiforce Sdn Bhd. She succumbed to complications following a heart surgery on Sept 28 at the National Heart Institute (IJN).
The tahlil was also held for Kuala Krau Wanita Umno leader Senator Norahan Abu Bakar; Muar Wanita Umno leader Ramlah Ismail and Wanita Umno executive council member Datin Ros Suryati Alang's daughter, Siti Khadijah Mohd Ridzwan.
The event was held at Surau Ar-Rahman at the Putra World Trade Centre and was attended by the movement leader, Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil and family members of the deceased. — Bernama
