Put a stop to all negativity

IN this once-great nation, a country we proudly call Malaysia, we just cannot believe what we are going through now.
Even at the basic level, where people interact with one another on a daily basis, we just cannot find any comfort and peace. There is this overwhelming presence of religion and religiosity everywhere. Of course I am referring to us non-Muslims and perhaps a good number of open-minded Muslims too, who feel this oppressive and unwarranted atmosphere.
There is really no need to fear or be threatened. Over the course of history of this nation, we have demonstrated that we are loyal subjects. We just want to live and let live.
In our Rulers we hold the highest and deepest obeisance. In them we find refuge and protection as their subjects.
It is because of this uneasiness, that many of us felt great relief at the recent edict by the Rulers. Only the Rulers, in their collective wisdom, can salve and soothe a distressed nation.
However, the government has not responded positively to this edict. And yet, the rakyat waits for positive intervention by the government. Let this be a reminder to the government that the rakyat cannot be fooled all the time. We know how government deploys tactics and stratagem to divert attention from their failings and indecorum.
It is high time that they do something to stop all this depraved and racist actions. We are calling on the prime minister himself to put a stop to all forms of racism, bigotry and unfairness so that we can recover quickly in order to drive and steer this nation to greater and nobler heights.
