Car dealer jailed for threatening to kill ex-girlfriend's parents

KUALA LUMPUR: A car dealer was sentenced to six months' jail by the Ampang magistrate's court here today for threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend's parents when they refused to allow him to meet the woman.
Magistrate Mohamad Firdaus Sadina Ali handed down the sentence on S.Munesh Kumar, 36, after the man pleaded guilty to the charge.
Munesh Kumar, who is a widower with a child, was charged with committing criminal intimidation on R. Malathi, 55, by threatening to kill her and her husband at their house in Taman Mulia, Ampang, here at 4pm last April 18.
He was ordered to serve the jail sentence from the date of his arrest on May 15 this year.
In mitigation, Munesh Kumar, represented by lawyer Kelvinder Singh Sidhu, apologised for his action and said he was remorse.
