Four teenagers lost while hiking in Hutan Lipur Gunung Soga

JOHOR BARU: Four teenagers were reported to have lost their way while trekking up a mount in Hutan Lipur Gunung Soga, Batu Pahat, here tonight.
Batu Pahat police chief ACP Abdul Wahib Musa said two of them, Mohd Amir Haziq Iqramudin and Mohd Azrul Azizi, 14, are students of SMK Dato Bentara Luar Batu Pahat.
He said the details of the other two teenagers are yet to be determined, but the police believed both are also 14 years old.
Abdul Wahib said the incident was reported to the police at 7.15pm, after one of the victims sent their last location to one of their friends.
Based on the information, the police searched for the victims, with the involvement of the Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Force and villagers.
"The incident happened when they lost their way after the dark.
"The search operation was still going on at 8pm," he said in a statement today. — Bernama
