PETALING JAYA: MyEG Services Bhd (MyEG) yesterday received a letter of appointment from the Ministry of Home Affairs to undertake the voluntary repatriation of illegal foreign workers for the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
The tenure of the project is from the date of the issuance of the letter of appointment, Oct 10, 2017 to Dec 31, 2017. The project has no fixed value as it is dependent on the number of foreign workers successfully repatriated.
"Nonetheless, the board of directors is of the view that the project is in the best interest of the company and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the company for the financial year ending June 30, 2018," MyEG said in a filing with the stock exchange.
An agreement to formalise the acceptance of the project will be signed and announced by the company in due course.
MyEG closed 0.49% lower at RM2.04 on Monday with 7.72 million shares traded.
