Trader fined RM4,000 for smashing windscreen of cousin's car

PETALING JAYA: A food trader was fined RM4,000, in default nine months' jail, by the Magistrate's Court here today for smashing the windscreen of his cousin's car two weeks ago.
Magistrate Fadzlin Suraya Mohd Suah meted out the fine on Firza Ajmeer T S K Farook, 40, who pleaded guilty to committing the mischief on a car belonging to lorry driver Mohamed Zainudin Mohamed Yusuf, 39, in front of a restaurant here at 11.30 pm last Oct 3.
Firza Ajmeer, who has five children and unrepresented, was charged under Section 427 of the Penal Code which provides an imprisonment for up to five years, or with fine, or both, upon conviction.
